Think that is funny? Check out his excuse:
Bennett defended his actions, telling Sunshine State News it was an email sent to him by a woman "who happens to be a former court administrator."
"I was just sitting there, bored as they were debating the abortion bill," Bennett said.
"I opened it up and said holy [expletive]! What's on my screen? and clicked away from it right away."
Sunshine State News could not verify how long the image of four bikini-clad women with their tops exposed was open before our cameras started rolling on it, but it was up for at least three seconds before it disappeared from the screen.
Senate spokesperson Jaryn Emhof explained further on Bennett's behalf.
"There was some confusion about an email he received," said Emhof. "He thought it was an email about an item being debated on the Senate floor. As soon as he realized it wasn't he closed the page."
Umm, try again, Mike. That excuse doesn’t quite make it pass my BS Detector. I might have believed him, but that dog video he also had running makes me think otherwise.
The irony here is that while Bennett was checkin’ out the ladies, you can hear another senator saying he is against the bill because it disrespects women! You could not ask for a better timing.
When I worked on Wall Street, I cannot tell you how many people got in hot water by viewing things they shouldn’t on the computer when they should have been working. Ever since I had a chat with an IT guy and he told me that they can see EVERYTHING you do on your computer at work, I made damn sure my PC was for work only.
So my advice to Mr. Bennett is, if you would not show those images to your grandmother, don’t look at them at work! Now what would Grandma Bennett say about that?
