Oh-Oh, One Out of Five Americans Think Obama is a Muslim

You will recall during the campaign, Team Obama was doing any and every thing to dispel the notion that The Won was a Muslim. They were quite effective at squashing the notion.  However, since getting into office, the notion of Obama being a Muslim is starting to take root.

In a new Pew Research Poll, the number of Americans who think Obama is a Muslim is now on the rise.  

A substantial and growing number of Americans say that Barack Obama is a Muslim, while the proportion saying he is a Christian has declined. More than a year and a half into his presidency, a plurality of the public says they do not know what religion Obama follows.

A new national survey by the Pew Research Center finds that nearly one-in-five Americans (18%) now say Obama is a Muslim, up from 11% in March 2009. Only about one-third of adults (34%) say Obama is a Christian, down sharply from 48% in 2009. Fully 43% say they do not know what Obama’s religion is. The survey was completed in early August, before Obama’s recent comments about the proposed construction of a mosque near the site of the former World Trade Center.  [MORE] 

Of course many on the left are saying these numbers reflect the effectiveness of the Right Wing Smear Machine.  I say nonsense. Obama himself has fueled these numbers with his own actions by showing more than just a little deference to the Muslim world.  For example:

• He gave his first formal interview as president to an Arabic News organization.
• He gave that DEEEEP bow to the Saudi King.
• He treats Israel like an ugly stepchild.
• He has given his support to the Ground Zero Mosque.  

These are just a few examples. The Right Wing Smear Machine did not make them up. Obama himself chose to do all of these things and each feeds into the idea that he is a Muslim.

Despite continually bending over backwards for the Muslim world, it appears that Obama has gained diddle squat for it from Muslims. In the very same poll, Pew Research finds that among the various religious groups, Obama gets the smallest approval from Muslims.

With results like that, one has to wonder Obama continues to believe that giving extreme deference to Muslims is a winning strategy. Unless of course he is doing it because he really is a …. Things that make you go, humm?

Houston We Have A Problem: NASA ‘s new goals

This has to be the zaniest thing I ever heard. Really, I mean that! 

Byron York, The Washington Examiner: In a far-reaching restatement of goals for the nation’s space agency, NASA administrator Charles Bolden says President Obama has ordered him to pursue three new objectives: to “re-inspire children” to study science and math, to “expand our international relationships,” and to “reach out to the Muslim world.”  Of those three goals, Bolden said in a recent interview with al-Jazeera, the mission to reach out to Muslims is “perhaps foremost,” because it will help Islamic nations “feel good” about their scientific accomplishments […]

Bolden made the statements during a recent trip to the Middle East.  He told al-Jazeera that in the wake of the president’s speech in Cairo last year, the American space agency is now pursuing “a new beginning of the relationship between the United States and the Muslim world.”  Then:

When I became the NASA Administrator — before I became the NASA Administrator — [Obama] charged me with three things: One was he wanted me to help re-inspire children to want to get into science and math, he wanted me to expand our international relationships, and third, and perhaps foremost, he wanted me to find a way to reach out to the Muslim world and engage much more with dominantly Muslim nations to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science, math, and engineering.

What in the sweet name of Jesus does any of this have to do with space exploration? Inspiring children and making nations feel good about themselves isn’t what put Neil Armstrong’s boots on the moon. We already throw away enough tax dollars on the Department of Education and the State Department; do we really need NASA to duplicate their roles?  

For the life of me, I certainly cannot understand the need for the extra attention to the Muslim world. The Muslim world is still oppressing women, brutalizing people who exercise free speech and cannot get control of its own religious fanatics, yet making them feel good about their ancient contributions to math and science is suppose to be a priority for our space agency? It seems pretty clear to me that the Muslim world has a few more pressing matters that need attention then their self esteem.

At first blush it would appear that Obama is completely clueless about what a space agency is for and is proving a classic example of loony left thinking, however Byron York serves up another little quote from Charles Bolden’s interview. 

Later in the interview, Bolden discussed NASA’s goal of greater international cooperation in space exploration.  He said the United States, more than 40 years after the first moon mission, cannot reach beyond earth’s orbit today without assistance from abroad:

In his message in Cairo, [Obama] talked about expanding our international outreach, expanding our international involvement.  We’re not going to go anywhere beyond low earth orbit as a single entity.  The United States can’t do it, China can’t do it — no single nation is going to go to a place like Mars alone.

Ah and there you have it, that re-occurring theme of a diminished America. Once again we have Obama putting America no longer at the forefront, but as just another member of the pack.   If Obama’s true aim is to make our space agency into an “also ran” then the goals set forth by Charles Bolden are sure to do the trick.

Obama to Egyptian Foreign Minister: I am a Muslim

Remember this little slip of the tongue by Obama?

It looks like it may have been more than just a simple slip of the tongue.

Pam Geller at Atlas Shrugs: Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit said he had a one-on-one meeting with Obama, in which President Obama told him that he was still a Muslim, the son of a Muslim father, the stepson of Muslim stepfather, that his half brothers in Kenya are Muslims, and that he was sympathetic towards the Muslim agenda.

Finally, during the week of 14-18th of January 2010, just on the eve of my winter tour to the US, Rachel picked up a Nile TV broadcast in which Egyptian Foreign Minister Abul Gheit said on the "Round Table Show" that he had had a one on one meeting with Obama who swore to him that he was a Moslem, the son of a Moslem father and step-son of Moslem step-father, that his half-brothers in Kenya were Moslems, and that he was loyal to the Moslem agenda. He asked that the Moslem world show patience. Obama promised that once he overcame some domestic American problems (Healthcare), that he would show the Moslem world what he would do with Israel. (more here)

This is according to Israel Today here. Here is the passage from the May 2010 issue of "Israel Today." It is on page 3 in an article titled "Obama, a 'Strategic Catastrophe,'" by Aviel Schneider:

The feeling among the Israeli public is that Obama is appeasing the Muslim world at the expense of Israel. “The American President told me in confidence that he is a Muslim,” said Egyptian Foreign MinisterAhmed Aboul Gheit on Nile TV. 

That could explain why Obama has instructed that the term “Islamic extremism” no longer be used in official government documents and statements. Furthermore, the US is now accusing Israel of harming American interests in the Middle East. General David Petraeus, the head of US Central Command, said Israel’s intransigence on resolving the conflict with the Palestinians is endangering US forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. Even the US Congress considers Obama’s behavior toward Netanyahu humiliating. Three-quarters of the House of Representatives, 337 of 435 members, signed a bipartisan letter to Clinton expressing “deep concern over recent tension” between the two countries, and demanding that it be smoothed over quickly and in private.

“Obama is a real problem for Israel,” a senior official told told Yediot. “He is Israel’s biggest strategic catastrophe.” The newspaper also quoted another official who believes that for the first time Washington has switched sides. “The Obama White House is putting pressure only on Israel but does not expect anything from the Palestinians,” he said. “These American demands are unacceptable.” 

The Birthers all think that Obama is hiding his actual birth certificate because it will show he is foreign born. I think the reason is because it would clearly state that his father was a Muslim. During the election of 2008, having his father be a confirm Muslim would have been just as bad as Obama saying he himself was a Muslim.

Since our press has decided that they will not look into Obama’s history with any detail, we are all left wondering if this statement is just Obama sucking up to the Islamic world again or if he is hiding a Presidential Prayer Rug somewhere in the White House.

Complete Video: The Attack On Mohammed Cartoonist Lars Vilks

Some of you have already seen the video clip where Muslim students, who were enraged by his work, attack the Swedish cartoonist Lars Vilks. Ace of Spades posted the complete video, which contains the full aftermath of the attack.

The video is about 10 minutes long, watch it all the way through. It tells so much more than the short clip of the attack.

The thing that jumps out at me the most is that these native Swedes have to be the most passive bunch of sheeples I have ever seen. Right before their eyes, these angry Muslim students trample over free speech; the hallmark of western civilization and the Swedes can’t even muster a cough of indignation. With the exception of one young lady who speaks up after the lecture is canceled, not a single one of the Swedes says boo.

Have these people been so cowered by the threat of Islamic violence they dare not defend free speech in their native land or are these sheeple so screwed up in the head with PC BS that all they notice is the offense to the Muslims?

I also cannot help think how perfectly Eric Holder would fit right in with this crowd.
