Glenn Beck admits that Michelle Malkin was right about Massa

After watching the Massa interview you just knew Beck was going to have to admit that Michelle Malkin was right about not giving Massa airtime. When Beck and Malkn had their spat, I was sitting on the fence between the two, but 15 minutes into the interview, I said to myself Malkin nailed this.

As Massa was talking about his tickle fights, I kept saying to myself this guy is a liar. He is lying about the allegations, he is lying about not be a closet homo, he is lying about everything. Just like Beck, I was thinking to myself, throw this man out of the studio he is wasting our time.

In case you missed Beck’s radio show, here is a clip of what he had to say about the Massa interview.

Surprise, surprise, Massa’s groping goes back to his Navy days

Yesterday when I watched Glenn Beck interviewing Eric Massa, I found that I had made up my mind about Massa in less than 15 minutes. He is a liar.  One of the things that became immediately clear to me in those 15 minutes was that Massa is a closeted homosexual. Furthermore, he isn’t very good at hiding in the closet either. All his talk about tickle fights, tussling a guy's hair, naked shouting matches in the showers and so on all came off like poor attempts to make closeted gay behavior sound innocent.

So it comes as no surprise to me that we learn today that Massa was groping and something called “snorkeling” back in his navy days.
From The Atlantic: [I]n conversations yesterday and today with some of Massa’s Navy shipmates, it became clear that the behavior toward his subordinates that got Massa into trouble in Congress is part of pattern that dates to his time in the Navy.

According to Peter Clarke, a Navy shipmate, Massa was notorious for making unwanted advances toward subordinates. He tells the story of his friend Stuart Borsch, with whom Massa shared a hotel room while on leave during the first Gulf War. “Stuart’s at the edge of the bed,” Clarke says Borsch told him at the time, “and [Massa] starts massaging him. Massa said, ‘You’ll have to get one of my special massages.’ He called them ‘Massa Massages.’” Ron Moss, a Navy shipmate and Borsch’s roommate, confirmed that Borsch told him this story at the time.

Borsch, now a history professor at Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts, didn’t addresss that specific incident, but did confirm to me in an email that he was groped by Massa: “In 1990, aboard the U.S.S. Jouett, I was awakened when a senior officer, Lt. Commander Massa, seemed to be groping me. (I was a lieutenant at the time.) I believe he may have been drinking. I shouted at him and he left. I mentioned the incident to several other officers. I did not officially report it.”

Clarke says that Massa’s roommate, Tom Maxfield, was also assaulted. “Tom lived on upper bunk,” Clarke say. “When you’re on ship, you’re almost exhausted 24-7. So a lot of times you sleep with your uniform on. Tom and Massa shared a stateroom together. Massa climbed up on the top of his bunk, which is hard to do–you never crawl up on somebody else’s bunk. He wakes up to Massa undoing his pants trying to snorkel him.

The funny thing about all of this, is that if Massa simply kept his mouth shut and resigned with his cancer excuse, his story would have probably died by Friday.  Now that he is out of Congress the ethics probe is over.  So what is the benefit to stirring up the media hornet nest by calling out Rahm Emanuel (I don’t even believe that happened now) on the radio and appearing on Glenn Beck and Larry King?  The only reason I can think of is that Massa is looking to out himself once and for all.  Hopefully it will happen soon so we can all be spared these stories about tickle fights and snorkeling!

The other shoe drops: Eric Massa under investigation for groping male staffers

Someone is clearly lying here. Rep. Eric Massa has been saying that the allegations stemmed from his “salty language”, now the Washington Post is reporting that the allegations are more of the touchy feely variety.
From the Washington Post: Former Rep. Eric Massa (D-N.Y.) has been under investigation for allegations that he groped multiple male staffers working in his office, according to three sources familiar with the probe.
The allegations surrounding the former lawmaker date back at least a year, and involve "a pattern of behavior and physical harassment," according to one source. The new claims of alleged groping contradict statements by Massa, who resigned his office on Monday after it became public that he was the subject of a House ethics committee investigation for possible harassment.
Massa had said that the allegations were limited to his use of "salty language" with his staff. He apologized for making some inappropriate comments and argued he was being unfairly villified. Days later, Massa accused the White House and Democratic congressional leaders of trying to oust him from office to improve their chances of passing health care reform legislation. Massa could not be reached for comment Tuesday, and no one answered the phone at his home in New York or his campaign office. Staff at his former congressional offices declined to relay messages to him and said they did not know how to reach him.
According to two sources familiar with the probe, Massa's former deputy chief of staff Ron Hikel provided the information about the staffers' allegations to the House ethics committee three weeks ago. Hikel had earlier sought advice fromMajority Leader Steny Hoyer's office about brewing internal complaints, the sources said, and had been urged to report the allegations to the committee.

Politico is also reporting that Massa acted inappropriately with interns too. If Massa shows up for his Beck interview today, we might be able to get to the bottom of all of this. Personally, I think Massa is lying his head off about the extent of the allegations and is only ratting out Rahm and crew because they were not going to stand by him during the investigation. Time will tell one way or another what the real deal is.

Glenn Beck vs. Michelle Malkin over Eric Massa

Michelle Malkin was on Glenn Beck’s radio show today and the two had a disagreement over the value of Eric Massa. I can see both sides of the argument. I don’t think we should wrap our arms around Eric Massa and proclaim him a conservative hero as being suggested by Politico. Malkin did a fine job reminding all of us just whom we are dealing with when it comes to Eric Massa. On the other hand, giving Massa airtime to expose the true motives behind health care reform is a good thing and should his claims prove true will only help to stop this awful bill from passing.

Listen to the exchange and let me know what you think.

Eric Massa will appear on the Glenn Beck Show tomorrow

Get the TiVo ready folks, Eric Massa is taking his story to a wider audience.  Just a few hours ago, Glenn Beck made this tweet. I for one hope that Massa's story will provide the necessary push to make this dreadful health care reform crash and burn once and for all.

Eric Massa Unplugged

Resigning House Rep. Eric Massa (D-NY) unloaded yesterday!  In a radio address, Massa goes into detail about sexual harassment charges against him and blames Rahm Emanuel and the Democratic leadership for his resignation. Massa says that the leadership and Rahm are gunning for him because he would not vote for the health care bill.

Here is an audio sample of Massa’s interview where he makes the charge against the leadership:

Massa wasn’t finished there. Here is what he had to say about Rahm Emanuel:
From The Hill:Rep. Eric Massa (D-N.Y.) is taking some harsh parting shots at the White House on his way out of office.
Massa, who is stepping down amid allegations of sexual harrassment, said that Emanuel is a ruthless tactician who would “sell his mother” for a vote.
“Rahm Emanuel is son of the devil’s spawn,” Massa said in a radio interview. “He is an individual who would sell his mother to get a vote. He would strap his children to the front end of a steam locomotive.”
Massa also details a spat he had with Rahm Emanuel while naked in the Congressional gym [click over to Real Clear Politics for the audio clip]!

Massa also accused Democratic leaders of forcing him out of office because he had voted against healthcare reform.
“This administration and this House leadership has said, quote-unquote, they will stop at nothing to pass this healthcare bill,” he said. “And now they’ve gotten rid of me and it will pass. You connect the dots.”
Massa has insisted that the sexual harassment charges were the result of him having a “salty tongue”.  During the interview he gave detail of the incident:
From Fire Dog Lake: “On new Year’s Eve, I went to a staff party. It was actually a wedding for a staff member of mine; there were over 250 people there. I was with my wife. And in fact we had a great time. She got the stomach flu,” he said.
Massa explained that he then danced first with the bride, who was not identified, and then with a bridesmaid. He said multiple cameras recorded the incident.
“I said goodnight to the bridesmaid,” Massa continued. “I sat down at the table where my whole staff was, all of them by the way bachelors.”
“One of them looked at me and as they would do after, I don’t know, 15 gin and tonics, and goodness only knows how many bottles of champagne, a staff member made an intonation to me that maybe I should be chasing after the bridesmaid and his points were clear and his words were far more colorful than that,” Massa said. “And I grabbed the staff member sitting next to me and said, ‘Well, what I really ought to be doing is fracking you.’ And then [I] tossled the guy’s hair and left, went to my room, because I knew the party was getting to a point where it wasn’t right for me to be there. Now was that inappropriate of me? Absolutely. Am I guilty? Yes.”
Massa is hinting that he may recind his resignation.
From Roll Call:“I’m not going to be a Congressman as of 5 o’clock [Monday] afternoon. The only way to stop that is for me to rescind my resignation. That’s the only way to stop it. And the only way that’s going to happen is if this becomes a national story.”
I see a lot of truth in what Massa says.  As to him being the deciding vote on health care, I have to say that is a stretch. If that were the case, the Nancy Pelosi would have scheduled a House vote for one minute after his resignation! However, picking off a couple of no votes would seem like something Obama, Nancy and Harry would stoop to.

If Massa is being deliberately set up, then he should rescind his resignation and get his fellow freshmen House Reps to come clean on any undue pressure being exerted by the leadership.

I am sure we will be hearing more and more about this story as the day wears on.
