One Nation Behaving Badly: Human Events reporter assaulted at One Nation Rally

Human Events: A liberal protester at the “One Nation Working Together” march physically assaulted a HUMAN EVENTS reporter who was videotaping Rep. Charlie Rangel (D.-N.Y) at the National Mall in Washington, D.C., where the liberal rally took place.

The reporter, Emily Miller, was first hit from behind while she was taping Rangel as the Harlem congressman glad-handed supporters in front of the Lincoln Memorial. Miss Miller is heard on the video saying, “Please don’t hit me.” The protester proceeds to yell at the reporter, “Well get out of the way! What do you think this is? A--hole.” The activist was attempting to meet Rangel herself. Miss Miller continued videotaping the event, when suddenly the same unhinged protester lunged at her, hit her on the arm, and yelled, “Don’t take my picture.” [MORE]

According to the media meme, Tea Partiers are suppose to be angry and hateful, yet to date there has never been anything like this at a Tea Party.  Can you imagine a black girl and a white girl getting into a shoving match at a Tea Party?  Jesus, we would still be seeing replays of that incident.  Since this happened at a leftwing rally don’t expect to see this video anywhere else but online or maybe Fox News.

Other things the media won’t show you will be just what a mess the Earth loving lefties left.

The One Nation Working Together Rally: The Left’s Attempt at a Tea Party

I have just started looking at all the news about the leftwing One Nation Working Together Rally.  The most noticeable news is the crowd size.  From the aerial photos, it is quite clear that the One Nation Rally failed to match Glenn Beck’s numbers.

Still for a predominately union organized event, they were able to bring a significant number of bodies to the mall (Even if they had to bus them in).

I think one of the reasons why the left has such a hard time bringing out crowds to match Tea Party strength, is because there really isn’t any over arching theme for the left.  Look at these two Reason TV videos below.

It seems like for every person there, there is some different reason for protest.  Is this what the left is all about?  Everyone chopped up into individual grievance groups (i.e. anti-war, gays, blacks, Latino, pro-choice, illegal immigration, socialism and the list goes on and on). Each group is only really concerned about their own little grievance and thus wont’ (unless organized) come out for someone else’s grievance. A perfect example of this is how minorities threw gays under the bus in California with Prop 8.

The Tea Parties by comparison have three simple themes (less spending, less taxes, more freedom) that work hand in hand. It is very easy to rally around these themes and under those themes you find Tea Partiers with sub-themes (immigration, abortion, defense of marriage, etc).  What was the over arching theme of the One Nation rally? As far as I can tell, it was; “we can throw a big rally too”!  That is hardly the kind of theme that makes you want to invest your personal time and money to attend.

The only thing I can see the One Nation rally accomplishing is to fool the left into thinking they have enthusiasm too.  Perhaps it might help bring out their numbers next month, but I would not count on it.  The right has been itching to vote for almost two years now. Pent up frustration like that cannot be replicated in a little over 30 days.

Liberals Out of Touch, Part 638: The F*ck Tea Project

Ben Smith blog: To that end, the Agenda Project, a new, progressive group with roots in New York's fundraising scene and a goal of strengthening the progressive movement, has launched the "F.*.c.k. Tea project," which is aimed, the group's founder Erica Payne wrote in an e-mail this morning, "to dismiss the Tea Party and promote the progressive cause."
""We will be launching new products in the next several months to help people all over the country F*ck Tea," Payne told POLITICO. "Products like a Glenn Beck Bowl Buddy (Beck B Scrubbin) and others are perfect holiday gifts or just a great way to say, 'I love you and our country' to your spouse, friend or family."
Payne, a veteran consultant to progressive groups, is a co-founder of the Democracy Alliance, the low-profile group of liberal mega-donors who helped build the Center for American Progress and other new organizations that grew in the Bush years.
The new project, so far, features merchandise, polling statistics aimed to paint Tea Party members as ignorant, and a mocking video.
If the Agenda Project really wants to “dismiss the Tea Party and promote the progress cause”, then the best way to go about that would be to have any one of these abysmal progressive policies actually work on the economy. For the people facing endless unemployment, home foreclosure or withering job security, silly tee shirts, gag gifts and slogans just won’t cut it.

Unless progressives actually start turning things around the American people won’t be dismissing the Tea Party anytime soon, instead they will more likely be telling progressives everywhere: "F*ck You"!

NAACP: Backpedals on calling Tea Party “racist”

I guess the Race Card isn’t the trump card it used to be.  After passing it’s Anti-Tea Party resolution, the NAACP is now backpedaling and saying they never called the Tea Party racist.
Politico: NAACP President Ben Jealous said Thursday that the resolution passed by the group on Wednesday does not call the tea party "racist."
The resolution the NAACP approved Wednesday at its annual conference in Kansas City alleges that the tea party has used racial epithets against President Barack Obama and has verbally and physically abused African-American members of Congress.
A portion of the resolution does indeed characterize the behavior as “racist,” but Jealous said Thursday during an interview on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that the resolution was not intended to condemn the entire movement as such.
“We aren’t saying that the tea party is racist,” Jealous said. “What we’re saying is that with their increasing power comes an increasing responsibility to act responsibly…and to call out when they see those things on those signs.” […]

Asked if he thought members of the tea party are racially insensitive, Jealous responded: “No, not at all.”
Well if that is the case, why even have a resolution?  If the NAACP thinks that the Tea Party isn’t racist but are concerned about fringe element within the Tea Party, why didn’t it just offer to assist the Tea Party in identifying and removing those questionable elements?

The NAACP didn’t do that because the Tea Party is a treat to the NAACP’s true concern … the liberal agenda. Anti-big government, anti spending and anti higher taxes are things that are an anthemia to the liberal agenda.  That is why smearing the entire Tea Party movement was the goal of the NAACP.

I think the only reason why the NAACP is backpedaling now is because the pushback is causing people to focus on the NAACP’s own actions of late. What we are seeing is what has been true for too long, the NAACP has lost it way from its original ideals. The NAACP like so many of the left’s special interests groups has long abandoned championing special causes like women’s rights or gay rights and have instead set themselves up as the attack dogs of the left. Today these organizations simply exist to throw around “isms” and keep their followers in lockstep with the leftist agenda.

NAACP to condemn Tea Party as racist and Michelle Obama’s keynote address

ABC News: The nation's largest and oldest civil rights organization will vote on the resolution Tuesday during its annual convention inKansas City, Mo.
In her speech, the first lady focused on the issue of childhood obesity and her "Let's Move" initiative, but outside of her remarks, anti-Tea Party activism has been a key focus of the gathering, which conservative leaders say is driven solely by a political agenda.
Tea Party members have used "racial epithets," have verbally abused black members of Congress and threatened them, and protestors have engaged in "explicitly racist behavior" and "displayed signs and posters intended to degrade people of color generally and President Barack Obamaspecifically," according to the proposed resolution.
"We're deeply concerned about elements that are trying to move the country back, trying to reverse progress that we've made," NAACP spokeswoman Leila McDowell told ABC News. "We are asking that the law-abiding members of the Tea Party repudiate those racist elements, that they recognize the historic and present racist elements that are within the Tea Party movement." [MORE]
Once again the NAACP is still trying to fight pre Civil Rights era struggles in a post Civil Rights era world. They will even go after a media made racial boogeyman to do it.  The NAACP is working with the false story from the media that Tea Partiers hurled racial slurs at black congressmen. To date not a single video of the incident has ever emerged and the media itself has seems to drop the story all together. Yet here is the NAACP getting all fired up about it now.  If the NAACP thought there was truth to this story, they should have made noise when it happened, instead of waiting until now.

Why did they wait you ask?  Because the midterm elections are now four months away and the NAACP is more about shilling the leftist agenda than they are about the “advancement of colored people”. Rallying blacks against the Tea Party is more important to the leftist agenda than tackling the real issues facing the black community like poor schools, unemployment or the devastating effects of drugs and crime.

Regarding Michelle Obama’s speech to the NAACP, I think Drudge gets it wrong. Yes, Michelle Obama does call for the NAACP to turn up the intensity and the NAACP is going after the Tea Parties, but they are two separate events. If you watch the whole speech below, you see she was speaking in terms of the organization’s historic context and then goes on to push her child obesity initiative.

After watching Michelle’s speech, I cannot help but think of what a lost opportunity this was. Here is Michelle Obama, the first black First Lady of the United States speaking to the NAACP, both she and her husband to do so much to put this organization back on track with a well thought out speech.

Instead, Michelle uses her time to address childhood obesity. While it is a problem within the black community, it certainly doesn’t rank as one of the top ten problems that plague the black community. It is even more disappointing when in the first five minutes of her speech; Michelle correctly identifies some of the real major issues.

One Nation: The left tries to mimic the Tea Party again

First there was the Coffee Party which was suppose to be this great grassroots movement based on coffee, civility and the end to gridlock, that was suppose to act as a counterweight to the Tea Party movement. You haven’t heard a peep from that bunch of astrotrufers after the glowing and fawning media reports ended.

Now the left is trying again to counter the Tea Party movement by bringing all their radical cabals together under the title of One Nation.
Washington Post: In an effort to replicate the tea party's success, 170 liberal and civil rights groups are forming a coalition that they hope will match the movement's political energy and influence. They promise to "counter the tea party narrative" and help the progressive movement find its voice again after 18 months of floundering.
The large-scale attempt at liberal unity, dubbed "One Nation," will try to revive themes that energized the progressive grassroots two years ago. In a repurposing of Barack Obama's old campaign slogan, organizers are demanding "all the change" they voted for -- a poke at the White House.[…]
The groups involved represent the core of the first-time voters who backed President Obama -- including the National Council of La Raza, NAACP, AFL-CIO, SEIU and the United States Student Association. (The effort is separate from the Democratic Party'splan to spend $50 million trying to reach those same voters.)
I don’t know about you, but I smell another epic fail in the making. The problem for the left is that there is no over arching theme to tie all their victim groups together. The Tea Party has an over arching theme of opposing Washington Gone Wild, but what does the left have?

To complicate matter for the left, they had the power for two years to execute the kind of Hope and Change they wanted.  In their attempt to do so, the opposition to their plans is what helps fuels the Tea Party to this day. So the harder they try with One Nation, the more passionate the Tea Party will become.

I suspect that One Nation will follow in the footsteps of the Coffee Party. The media will dole out tremendous fanfare and praise only to see One National fail to live up to the hype (much like the current White House occupant).

Who said only TEA Party signs are hateful?

You have to love liberal hypocrisy. So many on the left speak breathlessly about the “hateful” anti-Obama signs at the TEA Parties. Yet when they hold an anti-Palin - anti-TEA Party protest sign contest, the hate comes out in buckets.

Feast your eyes on this trash. Do you think they could squeeze any more misogyny into these images?

Party Crashers: Anarchist plan to crash April 15th Tea Parties

It looks like the media’s dog whistle has been heard. The far left loony anarchist are planning to crash the April 15th Tea Parties.
From Gateway Pundit:Crash the tea parties!
April 15th thousands of right-wingers will attend rallies in cities and towns across the United States. The organizers of this nationwide day of protest call it a tea party. This tea party movement that emerged only a year ago is a coalition of conservatives, anti-Semites, fascists, libertarians, racists, constitutionalists, militia men, gun freaks, homophobes, Ron Paul supporters, Alex Jones conspiracy types and American flag wavers. If the tea party movement continues to grow in size and strength there is a big chance they will dominate this country in the near future. If the tea party movement takes over this country they will really hurt poor people by getting rid of social programs like food stamps, unemployment benefits, disability benefits, student aid, free health care, etc. The tea party movement will say these programs must be gotten rid of because hard-working taxpayers cannot afford to pay for these things especially when the economy is in a depression. There are three options we have with the tea party movement:
1. Organize counter-protests against the tea party demonstrations, same time, same place. This is probably the best option. We need to get in the streets on April 15th and show the tea party movement that there are lots of people out there who oppose their agenda.
2. Get individual tea party protesters to leave the right-wing and move to the left politically. That would involve passing out stuff like this at the tea party demonstrations: http://www.anarchist-studies.org/node/299
3. Ignore the tea party movement. This is the worst option because without anyone opposing them they could easily gain power.
These animals are looking for trouble, don’t give it to them.  Camera and video cameras are an absolute must for everyone.   I full suspect they will try pose as a Tea Partier and then cause some sort of a scene for the media. The anarchist have a false understanding of who Tea Partiers are, as such it will probably be very easy to pick them out in a crowd.

Wizbang offers some great tips on how to deal with these folk.

Video: Harry Reid supporters throwing eggs at Tea Party bus

Here is the video of Andrew Breitbart among the Harry Reid supporters while they were throwing eggs at the Tea Party bus (from The Founding Bloggers).  Check out the dude who wants Breitbart to leave, such a friendly chap!  Perhaps he is the guy in charge of hospitality at the hospitality tent.

The second video is from is Andrew Breitbart talking to the police about the Reid supporters. (h/t Hot Air)
