I have asked this question for 3rd straight day and yet no answer. Is it some kinda secret deal?. Thought its a public forum.
Come on my friend, Admins are like you and me. They are not having any magic wands. You may want to post your concerns in the public forum or the best thing is to contact your State chapter representative who will conduit you to the Admins.
These are tough times, so hang in there. IV is committed for our cause.

Hello Nor. Cal,
If we don't get going, I am afraid that we will not be able to achieve our objective, your objective.
A few motivated people can only go so far. It is unfair to think that your time is more precious than any other volunteer's time. You just might be surprised to learn from us how busy we ourselves are.
Please stand up for your rights. Don't take this campaign for granted.
Thanks for this, gsc999
Thanks chandu & kiica for your help too!

Hi one question,,,if I go home to my country to study using H4 while my GC is pending, then suddenly the GC was sent to my sister here in US,can my sister just mail my GC to me in my country so that if i go back here in the US,i can present my GC to the US immigration???uh!im confussed!thanks!
First of all you have an "If" in your question. So I belive this is for future plan.
Now, when you say "suddenly GC was sent to your sister here in US" I am comfused as to whether your sister has already got the GC in mail and you are outside US?
I would request you to provide some more information on your status and info such as Whether you have had/will have approved "AP" etc before you left/plan to leave this country for studies.

I still can't imagine Sen Hillary Clinton did not support legal immigrations..hmm, may be when we send it to Obama, he can take it up with his opponent to get her support too.. who knows, it is all a tricky issue

I got my passport renewed last year by mail. It took 7 - 8 weeks to get the old and new passports.
I am sorry for posting in here, but I was wondering if someone actually went in person to the Houston Consulate to get their passport renewed. Also, do we need to have any reason to attend in person at the Consulate such as emergency, etc.
I am from India and my passport is expiring on Aug 17. I read before in the forum that it is better to go in person to renew the passport. Any experiences please let me know.
Thanks a bunch

Hi I am very new to this forum and actually to all the Immigration related forums. Here is what my situation is.
I was working for a company A, got my PERM and I140 approved on EB3 and filed my I485 on with PD August 2007. I have also have the EAD and AP and am working on EAD as my H1 got voided after getting laid off from Company A on 2009. I am working with a company B with a higher salary than company A. This company didnt want to deal with USCIS and my agreement with this company does not allow me to discuss immigration matter with them. Now I got a new offer from company C with similar or slightly higher salary. Company C is ready to do my paper work.
Now I need to know what are the things that I can do.
1. Do I need to file PERM, I140 again on EB2?
2. Do I need to file for H1 again and complete the entire process?
3. What is and how to do EB3 to EB2 porting? is that all I need to do?
Please give me some advice. Thanks in advance.
KM

Everyone:
There has been enough discussion on this topic.
UnitedNations (Nadeem) is welcome to post on these forums and we would all be grateful if he can answer some questions related to 140 filing and other issues that he has expertise in.
However, there is no point in trying to prove to other people who do not know him as to whether or not he can contribute in any way, and how much. What is the point of that exercise?
Unitednations:
You are welcome here. However there is no point in this thread that debates your potential value.
Your help to members here is welcome and the community would be thankful to you for your contribution.

If you look at those two forms, one 325A has a space for "Date and Place of Termination of Marriage". Form 325 does not have a space for that. They apparently want that information so you should update your filing with the proper form.

why not - no one does things for free. if you talk to attorney, you know how much $$ you have to pay. most time ive seen members on form answer clean and quick based on their experiance, which is in-valuable.
$1 is just pennnies. not bad to start with at all

GC_2007,
When we change employer i think we can't keep the Priority date
Its been clearly stated bolded when you change employer you will lose your 1-140 PD....any thoughts or am i misreading it.
once the aliens Form I-140 petition has been approved, the alien beneficiary retains his or her priority date as established by the filing of the labor certification for any future Form I-140 petitions, unless the previously approved Form I-140 petition has been revoked because of fraud or willful misrepresentation. This includes cases where a change of employer has occurred; however, the new employer must obtain a new labor certification if the classification requested requires a labor certification (see
the section on successorship of interest).
(A) Determining the Priority Date. In general, if a petition is supported by an individual labor certification issued by DOL, the priority date is the earliest date upon which the labor certification application was filed with DOL. In those cases where the aliens priority date is established by the filing of the labor certification, once the aliens Form I-140 petition has been approved, the alien beneficiary retains his or her priority date as established by the filing of the labor certification for any future Form I-140 petitions, unless the previously approved Form I-140 petition has been revoked because of fraud or willful misrepresentation.
